Wholesale Gate Privacy Policy

Wholesale Gate ("the app") is a Shopify application that helps merchants collect and manage wholesale account applications and enforce order quantity rules.

What we collect

• From merchants: store domain, app settings (form text, colors, field configuration, order rules).
• From wholesale applicants: the information they submit in the merchant's registration form: company name, contact name, email, and any optional fields the merchant enables (phone, website, tax ID, business address, expected volume, message).

We do not collect payment card data, browsing history, or any data beyond what is listed above.

How it's used

Applicant data is stored solely so the merchant can review the application and, on approval, create the corresponding B2B company record in their own Shopify store. We do not sell, share, rent, or use this data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than operating the app.

Storage & security

Data is stored in the app's production database, encrypted in transit (HTTPS everywhere). Access is limited to the app itself.

Retention & deletion

• Merchants can reject or delete applications at any time.
• When a store uninstalls the app, Shopify sends a shop-redaction request and all data for that store is permanently deleted.
• Customer data requests and customer redaction requests received from Shopify (GDPR/CCPA) are honored automatically.
